SEWN (Rows of stitching 3/8” apart) The Satin Finishing Wheel is made of woven nylon fabric impregnated with aluminum oxide. It is designed to give an even distribution of very fine scratches, thereby imparting a brushed or satin finish to a polished surface. The satin finish wheel is available in an 8” diameter in very fine texture which will result in a finish that translates roughly into 400 grit. Experience has taught that this buff should be used on a slow rpm buffer (1725-1750). If the buff generates excess heat, it tends to melt and leave a deposit on the material being buffed. Very Fine
